Thousand Tiers Dress. Help Desperately Needed.

Darlings, I desperately need your help. I have both these dresses on hold at 2 separate stores. Problem is, I don't want to buy both but can't decide which one to get.

I love the Grey because the details are so much more pronounced. The grey is also more casual looking.

I love the black because it's such a different take on the LBD but then the details are not as noticable. The black is also dressier.

I don't need dressy nor casual clothes. I just want this dress because I've been waiting for it to go on sale forever. Originally, I wanted it desperately in the Grey because I was convinced that the Grey is THE ONE. But now, I'm not sure.

Have you tried them on? Which color do you like better and why?

Also, one stooopid question, does this dress ride up if worn with netted tights?

I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

My vote is for the black--timeless classic with a twist. I can see the grey looking a bit dated in another year or two.

I'd go with gray. it's a beautiful and unique-looking dress. Plus, it seems as though that is, deep-down, your first choice anyway. :)

Get the gray since you really wanted that one from the beginning. if you get the black now, you'll always think of the gray one.

besides it's so cute, and like you said, more casual, but you could still dress it up a little with the right cardigan and tights. so you can wear it more places.

I really like the black, but that's just me. I think you should go with your first choice, the grey.

Grey is SO in right now! I've been on a grey kick- I bought two skirts and shoes that all have a grey look to them. I like the grey dress here, because, like you said-you can see those frilly details, which, to me, makes the dress lovable!

You can certaintly dress it up as well! Heels, a nice necklace. VOILA!

You would rock the grey. The details are lost in the black. Besides, I am sure you already have enough black dresses.

Personally I would go with the black...but how many black dresses do you already own?? If you have more than 2 or 3, get the gray!

I would go with the gray, as the charm of the dress is in all those tiers which are nicely shown off thanks to the color. In a sea of black dresses with a twist, you can be the tiered gray one. Honestly, you are making me want to take another look at that dress. I bet it needs a slip, or the dress will creep up due to the jersey fabric, which would distract from those tiers.

You're all sooooo wonderful. Thank you for your thoughts and your ideas on my decision. I value each and every one of them which makes the decision so much harder.

Here, we have 5 for the Grey and 3 for the Black. I also took a quick poll in the office and I had 3 for the Black and 1 for the Grey. So, at the end of the day, the decision is still tied.

Crazy isn't it?

Now that I've had a full day to think about this and have considered all your thoughts on this, I think that I'm going to go with the Grey.

For those rooting for the black, please don't be offended. I value your thoughts on this (otherwise, I really wouldn't have asked). But now that I've had a chance to look at my closet and figure out what I do and do not have, I have come to the conclusion that I should get the Grey.

I think that deep down inside, I really want the grey. Both colors can be worn all year round but I think that the Grey would be a little more casual particularly if I want to wear it to work. I think that the black might be a little too dressy for the office (it may look like I'm off to a cocktail party). The Grey can be dressed up or down. Furthermore, crazy as it sounds, I have no Grey dresses. I know! I couldn't believe it either. I got home, checked my closet and found out that I have no Grey dresses. I have 4 Black dresses and no grey so I've decided to buy the Grey.

Thanks once again for helping me make my decision.

Please be sure to check out my newest post detailing my purchases today. I was a baaaaad girl! lol!
