MY FIRST EVER GIVE-AWAY!!!

THE DELICIOUS TRUFFLE GIVEAWAY!!!

I got the idea from Jackie here, on my post about my fantastic score on Lindt Lindor Truffles. As you know, I ended up purchasing 48 bags of these Lindor Truffles a week after Easter. Although I purchased 48 bags, my husband, daughter and I have polished off half of my original purchase.

Very Scary, isn't it?

Anyway, I thought that it would be fun if I was able to share these Truffles with someone else before my family and I polish them all off. By the way, they have been to-die-for!!!

The winner will get two (2) 150 grams Bags of Lindt Lindor Truffles - 1 bag of the Stracciatella - Italy's classic ice cream flavor - White Chocolate with slivers of cocoa and a delectably smooth centre; and 1 bag of the Milk / White - Milk Chocolate with a delectably smooth white centre.

The Best Before Dates on these Truffles are Feb 28, 2010 and November 30, 2009 respectively - which means that you will have lots of time to enjoy these delicate morsels.

All you'll need to do is post a message about your Best Ever Score of a Deal. I will draw one (1) winner and post the Winner on Monday evening, May 4, 2009. (Please keep in mind that I'm on the West Coast.)

This giveaway is open to all. No Anons will be accepted (sorry).

Good Luck!!!

My best ever, score of a deal is actually a funny one! When I was around 16 years old, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes was having a "win one out of the box" contest. "Look on the inside flap to see if you won."

Sure enough, I WON, for free, a Nintendo 64. All for the cost of a box of cereal that I'm sure my mom bought. I thought that was a steal of a deal and was probably the last time I ever won anything!!! Yay, me!

Loves,
Crystal

Yay! A giveaway!

Let's see, my best score of a deal. Hm. While it might not be a huge "deal" per se, I did score a Nanette Lepore dress I had loved forEVER for $106, down from $450. I looked online on RevolveClothing one day, just randomly, and there was one left and it was in my size.

That's been my favorite "steal". Again, not exactly cheap, but a deal nonetheless.

My best deal ever.

JCPenney had China on Sale. The place settings I liked (platinum rim and all) were supposed to be marked down to 112.50 each, but there was a typo and they had them marked for $12.50 each with free shipping. I placed an order for 12 place settings and they sent them all to me, at the reduced price. A savings of $1000.

My best deal was about a year ago at my favorite bead store, which was unfortunately going out of business. They sped throught the escalating discounts, and I got 90% my entire purchase--I've still got a stock of beads.

First of all, so COOL that you took my suggestion and mentioned me on your blog! Best deal, huh? I think it must be the $450.00 DVF dress at Bendel's this winter that was marked down to $150.00 and fits like a glove, like it was made for me, and the last one there!

I never find the good deals. I usually just buy things when I need them. Though yesterday I found a cute gray/blue stripe dress at Target for $3. Perfect for summer. That is the best steal ever for me.

Hmm...best score...wow. There have been some awesome ones in my life. :)

I got into a bidding war over the Seychelles necklace on ebay and even though it seemed heated, it petered out and I ended up scoring that gorgeous necklace for 78 dollars (originally was 150). The piece is insanely beautiful. I would have bought it full price because of its beauty, but loved it way more because I got it for half-off.

Another score (sorry, I have two)...the AMAZING ANDIE BAG in red. Golly...near 500 originally, bought off JCA for 190. LOVE IT!

(And our family loves chocolate...yum!) ;)

Thanks for the contest!

Thanks for the contest.

My best deal ever, about one year ago, I went to Guess store, and found a fur coat which I could dress down or up. the retail price was $198, and the sale price: $109. Since they had my size XS, I decided to purchase it with $109. When the cashier scan the tag and told me, the total was $ 31. I thought I just won the lottoy.Yap~

I wear a size 10 shoe which is a pretty common size and usually the best pairs are always sold out during the sales. Well, how about I went into an off the beaten track designer shoe store last august and they clearly had a very bad buyer as all of their clearence shoes seemed to be size 10??? I got three absolutely gorgeous pairs of Miu Miu shoes and one pair of some other abscure designer shoes for 75 USD each and then I sent my BF there who wears the same size and she got a pair of Pradas and Paul Smiths for 90 USD each. We pretty much cleaned the place out. That was for sure a double good deal.

Oh I forgot to mention my BF wore one of the pairs of shoes to her wedding so that in itself was a total score as all of us who have been or are soon to be brides know that finding the right shoes for a decent price is an art in itself!!

Mine was at a library book sale, where I got a textbook I needed (regular price over $60) for a donation. I donated $10, and they told me to take more books, so I ended up with several other nice books as well.

Fun topic, even outside the contest, which is way cool.

Best ever was my Ann Taylor white leather purse (December 2007). Orig $200, on sale for $99.99, 30% off F&F, 2 $20 reward certificates, a $34.99 return. I handed over 2 $1 bills and walked out with my bag.

Crystal, winning is the best score every! You can't beat ALMOST FREE! I know this is a little late, but congratulations on winning your Nintendo 64! :)

Chloe, what a deal! A Nanette Lepore for $106! Not cheap by any means but certainly cheap for Nanette Lepore! Good for you!

Crew_Girl_In_Canada said...

Nichi! Oh My Gosh! I love hearing stories like yours. I wish those things happened to me! That is a phenomenal deal!

Crew_Girl_In_Canada said...

Twokudu, I love Beads as well. I wish I could find a store that offered 90% off Beads. You must have gone Bead Crazy after that! If you see another deal like that, please let me know! :)

Crew_Girl_In_Canada said...

Jackie, of course I had to mention you. If not for you, I really wouldn't be having this contest, would I? I've certainly got to give credit where credit is due. So thank you once again for your great idea!

Wow, a DVF dress for $150! That's a score!

Crew_Girl_In_Canada said...

Tara, You certainly can't got wrong with a $3 dress for the summer. Enjoy the dress! :)

Dinagideon, I love the Seychells necklace too. It's truly pretty. I'm a true believer of, "If you find something you love, you've got to get it - for it may never come around again!". I'm glad you got it.

As for the Andie Bag, I got a similar deal as well. I had been eyeballing the Andie for months but couldn't justify buying it because I had just spent a bomb on my new Burberry. But then it got marked down and then the Rockerfeller store had a 40% discount and I got it for $200. You got a better deal (hey, the $10 difference is still $10!). I absolutely love this bag - sad as it may sound, I love it more than my Burberry.

BTW, the Andie is my bag of the week. Please see my latest post about my Latest and Newest Resolution.

Congratulations on scoring a couple of great deals!

Candy in Canada, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE finding deals like that. It almost never happens to me - well except for the Easter Truffles but I'd trade Truffles in for clothes anyday!

Crew_Girl_In_Canada said...

Jemma Ruby, what a score! I know that size 10s are hard to come by so congratulations on your amazing find!

And yes, I agree, finding the right shoes for the right price for the big day is a feat in itself. Good for you and your girlfriend!!!

ikkinlala, I'm glad to hear that you were able to get a great deal on school books. I remember text books costing me a ton when I was going to Business School. I would often beg, borrow - but never steal, text books for they're really only good for 1 semester but cost a mint! Congratulations on your score!

Crew_Girl_In_Canada said...

HeidiG, Oh My Gosh! What an amazing store! I LOVE hearing stories like that. You must have been over the moon!!!!! I know I would have been!

Crew_Girl_In_Canada said...

Susan, I'm downright jealous! How in the world were you able to score those dresses for $12 each! You scored big-time!!!

My best score ever was a pair of pony hair D'orsay Manolos I found for about $110 (brand new!) on eBay. Only a crazy person would pass those up.
